Protection of Cards & Personal Information 

  1. Store your card properly. Cards are sensitive to mechanical and electromagnetic waves as well as to sun impacts. Do not bend your card. 
  2. Avoid submitting personal details for lucky draws.
  3. Sign on the back of your new card as soon as you get it using the same signature as entered in your original application form.
  4. Cancel or destroy any unwanted or expired cards.


Precautions When Going Abroad with Cards

  1. Whenever you are travelling, make sure not to carry all your banking cards in the same wallet or folder.
  2. Always check your cards at airport terminals.


When Making Transactions through Call Centers / IVRs

  1. Don't give your card number over phone to anonymous callers.
  2. Don’t be intimated by a telemarketing salesperson.
  3. Do not volunteer any personal information when you use your credit/debit card, other than your ID document.
  4. If you find any suspicious transaction on your statement, contact your bank immediately.


What to do if you are a Victim of Card Fraud

If you discover that your card has been lost or stolen or that you have been victim of a fraud, you should inform your bank immediately.

Some Warning Signs of ID Theft & Fraud

  1. Your credit card statement includes charges for items you have not purchased or ordered.
  2. A debt collection agency contacts you about goods you have not ordered or an account you have never opened.
  3. You receive a telephone call or letter saying you have been approved or denied credit for accounts you know nothing about.
